iPhone Air designer joins AI start-up
AI start-up Hark has hired former Apple designer Abidur Chowdhury as its head of design, according to Bloomberg. Chowdhury joined Apple in 2019 and left in November 2025, and is best known for introducing the slim iPhone 17 Air at Apple’s September 2025 launch event. Hark’s founder and CEO Brett Adcock invested $100 million into the company in December 2025.
Hark is building new AI models, with its first release planned for mid-2026. Bloomberg and The Information report the company has already added about 30 engineers from Google, Meta and Amazon, and aims to grow the team to 100 by mid-year. Adcock also serves as CEO of Nvidia-backed humanoid robotics company Figure AI.
