Indus Towers Bets on 5G Growth, Overseas Expansion for Revenue
Indus Towers is trying to use the 5G rollout and new markets abroad to grow its business, while easing past worries about overdue payments. Executives told investors that payment issues have stabilised and that Vodafone Idea, one of its biggest customers, no longer has any overdue bills with the company. Payments from the telco are now coming in on time, within the agreed credit period.
With the cash flow from key customers back on track, Indus is positioning itself to benefit from higher 5G-related demand for tower infrastructure and is looking outside India for additional revenue. The company’s push combines domestic 5G network expansion with a plan to enter or deepen presence in international markets, aiming to diversify its income beyond its current customer and country base.
