India, Germany sign deal to deepen telecom, ICT cooperation
India and Germany have signed an agreement to step up cooperation in telecommunications and information and communication technologies (ICT). The pact sets up a formal framework for regular consultations and annual high-level meetings between the two countries.
According to India’s telecom ministry, the agreement will use dedicated working groups and wider engagement with government bodies, industry, universities and research institutions. The focus is on sharing knowledge, supporting joint work in telecom and digital technologies, and coordinating policy discussions between the two governments.
