Huawei bets on U6GHz to bridge today’s 5G-A and tomorrow’s 6G
At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei introduced a full set of products for spectrum under 6GHz (U6GHz), pitching it as the missing link between current 5G-Advanced networks and future 6G systems.
The company says the new kit is built to handle higher traffic loads and lower latency as mobile networks start serving more AI-heavy services. The portfolio is aimed at operators that want to squeeze more capacity and consistency out of existing 5G-A deployments while laying technical groundwork for a later shift to 6G, rather than running two completely separate upgrade cycles.
