Google and Apple work on easier moves between Android and iOS
Google and Apple are quietly working together to make it less painful to move between Android and iOS. The first signs of this effort appear in the latest Android Canary build, which is aimed at developers and will need time before reaching Android Beta and then stable releases.
Apple plans to add its side of the feature in a future iOS 26 update. Details are still limited, but both companies are now building tools that should give users a more straightforward way to switch ecosystems without starting from scratch each time.
