Gangbusters: Korean memory firms rake it in
Korea’s big memory makers are cashing in on the AI boom and see little reason to think it stops soon.
SK Hynix and Samsung, two of the world’s largest memory suppliers, are reporting stronger profits as demand for high-performance chips used in AI servers keeps climbing. Both companies expect that growth to extend into 2026, driven by continued investment in data centers and AI infrastructure. For now, they see no clear sign that the current surge in AI-related memory demand is a short-lived bubble.
