Former Verizon chief Hans Vestberg signs on as Consello adviser
Global advisory and investment firm Consello has hired former Verizon and Ericsson CEO Hans Vestberg as a senior operating adviser, adding him to a roster of ex‑C‑suite executives with more than 150 years of combined leadership experience. The group advises CEOs on operational overhaul, capital allocation, AI‑driven change and long‑term planning.
Vestberg led Verizon’s first commercial 5G rollout and previously ran Ericsson, whose networks carry about 35% of global mobile traffic. Consello CEO Declan Kelly said Vestberg’s experience managing rapid technology shifts will benefit clients. Vestberg, a former Consello client himself, said the firm’s model stands out because its advice comes from executives who have handled similar pressures. He remains a special adviser to Verizon until October 2026 and in February also became a senior adviser to AI data centre infrastructure company Digipower X.
