Five insights from GSMA Intelligence’s new report on AI-era assurance
Most mobile operators already use AI, but mainly as a support tool rather than a core operational engine. About 80% have deployed AI for analytics, according to a new GSMA Intelligence report produced with Radcom, but those projects largely help people make decisions instead of automating the network itself.
The report, "Service Assurance Trends in the AI Era," looks at how operators plan to use AI in 2026 and finds a clear shift toward customer-focused assurance. Rather than just monitoring infrastructure, telcos are starting to align assurance efforts with actual user experience and service quality. The study highlights where operators are investing, how they are rethinking assurance in an AI-heavy environment, and the practical steps they are taking to bring AI closer to day-to-day network and service operations.
