Deutsche Telekom partners with Quantum Systems
Deutsche Telekom is putting money into Quantum Systems, a German maker of autonomous surveillance drones, through its T.Capital Tech Fund. Alongside the investment, the two companies have set up a strategic partnership to develop drone-based monitoring tools aimed at protecting critical infrastructure.
The focus is on using Quantum Systems' drones with Telekom’s connectivity and security know-how to spot risks around sites such as energy facilities, transport hubs or communication networks. The deal frames drones as part of a broader security toolkit rather than a stand-alone gadget, with both firms looking to turn the tie-up into specific, commercial services over time.
