Deutsche Telekom launches industrial AI factory in Munich
Deutsche Telekom has opened an "AI factory" in Munich built on nearly 10,000 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, targeting artificial intelligence workloads for industry, research and government customers. The company frames the site as infrastructure for so‑called sovereign AI, where organizations run and control their own models and data rather than relying on foreign hyperscale cloud platforms.
Working with SAP, Deutsche Telekom offers a full-stack setup that combines the hardware infrastructure with cloud services and enterprise software. The aim is to give businesses and public institutions a controlled environment to build, train and deploy AI systems while keeping data and operations within defined legal and geographic boundaries.
