Camtel and Ethio Telecom to partner on Blue Money and more
Cameroon’s state operator Camtel and Ethiopia’s Ethio Telecom are set to sign a master service agreement to support Camtel’s digital overhaul, including the launch of its mobile money service, Blue Money. Under the deal, Ethio Telecom is expected to share experience and capabilities from its own mobile money and digital services operations.
The partnership is framed as a way for Camtel to speed up new product launches and modernise its services, with mobile financial services as an early focus. Further details of the agreement, including timelines and commercial terms, have not been disclosed.
