BT to deliver mobile connectivity for easyJet network
Source: News - CapacityJanuary 19, 2026
BT will supply 23,000 mobile connections over its EE network to support easyJet staff and operations in 35 countries and more than 150 airports. The deal covers smartphones, aircraft phones, tablets, laptops and other hardware used by pilots, cabin crew and ground teams.
All devices will use eSIMs, allowing easyJet to manage connections remotely, switch networks across borders and cut the need to handle physical SIM cards. Pilots and cabin crew will use connected iPads to access real-time flight information and training, while BT will also support smart messaging to keep passengers updated on flights. The move reflects wider airline interest in eSIMs as a way to simplify, secure and scale connectivity across global fleets.
