Brightspeed brings Wi-Fi 7 to all gigabit tiers
Brightspeed is rolling out Wi-Fi 7 across all of its gig-speed internet plans. Customers on 1-Gig, 2-Gig, 5-Gig and 8-Gig tiers now get Wi-Fi 7 hardware as part of their service.
The move aligns the in-home Wi-Fi standard with the faster fiber speeds Brightspeed sells, aiming to reduce bottlenecks between the modem and users’ devices. The company announced the change in a press release.
