Bharti Airtel launches AI-powered ‘Fraud Alert’ to combat OTP banking scams
Bharti Airtel has introduced an AI-based security tool called Fraud Alert to help protect mobile users from password theft and one-time password (OTP) banking scams. The feature is designed to detect suspicious activity linked to OTP requests and warn customers before they share sensitive information.
The company says Fraud Alert targets common tactics used by fraudsters, such as tricking people into revealing OTPs that secure their bank accounts and digital payments. By flagging risky interactions in real time, Airtel aims to reduce financial losses from mobile-based scams and strengthen basic cyber safety for its subscribers.
