AT&T adds AI tool to prioritize home Wi-Fi traffic
AT&T has launched a Wi-Fi Personalization feature that uses artificial intelligence to help home internet customers manage their wireless traffic. The tool looks at how devices use the network over time and then suggests or applies settings so activities like video calls, streaming, or online gaming can take priority when needed.
According to AT&T, the AI system runs in the background on compatible gateways and aims to reduce congestion and improve stability without users having to adjust router settings themselves. The feature is being rolled out to eligible customers in the US, who will see the new controls in their existing AT&T Wi-Fi management app.
